Rap Fathers

A cinematic awareness piece for America's 250th and the Young Washington release.

The founding fathers performing on a colonial street beneath fireworks

An awareness campaign with a world of its own.

Angel Studios needed a piece for America's 250th and the Young Washington release. The brief called for awareness: something people would stop to watch and recognize, built around a cinematic take on the founding fathers.

Slapbox developed the concept, wrote the script, designed the characters, and produced the full 2-minute, 11-second AI music video. Angel's team handled the finishing and media distribution.

From lyrics to a finished performance.

Shawn Zumbrunnen wrote the lyrics and recorded a phone performance before final production. That demo established the rhythm and delivery the team wanted to carry into the finished music video.

Character development and visual references kept the founding fathers recognizable across the film’s distinct scenes. The team directed the performances, images, animation, and edit around the song.

The awareness result.

The client-supplied report recorded 9,851,033 Meta impressions, 1,471,423 TikTok impressions, and 1,441,500 Snapchat impressions: 12,763,956 impressions in total.

These are reported impressions across platforms, not unique people or video views. The campaign was used for awareness. The report does not establish a sales or ROAS result.
